Penta is seeking strategic partner for its hospitals
Penta is seeking a strategic partner for its 34 hospitals in Slovakia, Czechia and Poland. It has already hired an advisor and is talking to three potential investors from the USA, Italy, and China. Penta intends to keep a majority stake and managerial control in its hospitals. The reasons for the move include concerns over political interference in healthcare, as well as new capital and know-how. The partner won’t gain a stake in Penta’s insurer Dôvera and Dr.Max pharmacy chain. Last year, Penta’s hospitals had €440m sales.
