Duslo Šaľa stopped all development projects
Duslo Šaľa, fertilizer maker owned by Andrej Babiš, has stopped all development projects. It explains the move by high power prices and government’s ’social’ measures, such as hikes in minimum wage, increases in pay for night and weekend work, and travel vouchers. Last year, the company completed a €310m investment into a new ammonia production unit and until recently had planned a €30m investment into the production of new types of fertilizers and calcium nitrate. It employs 2,000. Last year, Duslo lost €5.9m and its sales rose 8% to €426.8m.
