Marian Kočner acted in Smer’s favor, according to a police report
Marian Kočner acted in tandem with Norbert Bödör in Smer’s favor. He was always ready to help Robert Fico and made steps to keep Smer in power, according to a police report based on Kočner’s communication via the Threema app. Kočner tried to push the fraudulent TV Markíza bills case through the courts before the February 2020 election, while he still has political cover. Kočner even used his own money to advance Smer’s interests; e.g., via influencing media news reports. On the other hand, Kočner tried to discredit Daniel Lipšic, Igor Matovič, Boris Kollár and Andrej Kiska. He used Bödör to get information from the police, as former Police President Tibor Gašpar was Bödör’s relative. Kočner also mentions “Milan” in the communication; Milan Lučanský, the current Police President, denies any contact with Kočner.
Robert Fico denies any link to Kočner and emphasizes that the police charged and arrested Kočner when Smer was in power.
