TV Markíza wants to ban fast forwarding through ads
Markíza, Slovakia’s largest TV group, wants cable and satellite operators to ban fast forwarding through ads when clients watch shows and movies from archives. It is responding to the growing popularity of archives as ever fewer Slovaks watch linear TV. Markíza could gain €1.4m in additional ad revenue if the ban were in place. Skylink has already imposed the ban, while Slovak Telekom turned the request down.
