Bekaert continues to invest in Hlohovec

The Hlohovec-based plant of Belgian wire maker Bekaert is planning an unspecified investment into a line for the zinc- and tin-coating of wires after a recent expansion of car tire wire production. The investment won’t increase the plant’s workforce from the current 2,500. The plant accounts for a tenth of Bekaert’s production volume and makes wires for the automotive, energy, and construction sectors.
