Courts began seizing assets of Ladislav Bašternák

A court has begun the process of seizing the assets of Ladislav Bašternák, who is in jail serving a 5-year sentence for tax fraud. The courts also ruled that Bašternák’s assets will be taken by the state. Last year, Bašternák transferred almost all of his assets to relatives and the state will apparently challenge the asset transfers. His remaining asset is an apartment he leases to Robert Fico.
