Hospital skeleton demolition may begin
Health Minister Andrea Kalavská (Smer) signed a €10.7m contract with Metrostav to demolish a 30-year old hospital skeleton in Bratislava’s Rázsochy. The demolition will start by the end of June and construction of a new hospital could be launched in a year. Kalavská expects opening in 2024. She will call a tender for the hospital’s design in ten days. The demolition tender caused a year-long delay in the hospital project due to repeated challenges by unsuccessful bidders.
Penta will open its new hospital in nearby Bory in 2022.
