New subsidies for corporate research
The Economy Ministry (EM) recently allocated €200m in EU funds for corporate research. Companies only submitted projects totaling €142m, and not all of them qualified for support. Among the reasons for the low demand is scandals regarding corporate research subsidies allocated by the Education Ministry. The EM allocated its biggest research grant to Tatravagónka, €6.1m. GA Drilling obtained €4m.
