Fico and Pellegrini quarrel about new Finance Minister
Finance Minister Peter Kažimír (Smer) will resign next week and PM Peter Pellegrini announced that he will serve as interim Minister for several weeks. The Ministry is currently talking to the coalition parties about the financial impact of measures they want to adopt as of January 2020, and Pellegrini thinks new minister might not be able to cope with their demands. Media say Smer leader Robert Fico is pushing František Imrecze as the new minister, but Pellegrini disagrees.
Kažimír will take up the job as NBS governor.
