Mistrík withdrew from the presidential race, Čaputová is now the favorite

Robert Mistrík withdrew from the presidential race and gave his full backing to Zuzana Čaputová. Mistrík had been leading in the polls, but in recent week Čaputová has overtaken him. Čaputová now has the backing of the strongest opposition party, SaS, which previously supported Mistrík, saying Čaputová was unelectable because she is a divorced liberal woman. Čaputová is also backed by outgoing President Andrej Kiska and opposition parties OĽaNO, PS, and Spolu.

Čaputová has the best odds in betting firms (1.6:1 in Fortuna and Tip Sport), ahead of Šefčovič (2.4:1). The latest Median agency poll puts her in the lead, with 23.5%, followed by Šefčovič (20.5%) and Mistrík (15%; the poll predated his resignation).
