Truban sold Websupport
Michal Truban sold his company, Websupport, leader on the Slovak webhosting market, to a Danish investment group, Axcel. The price was not disclosed, but it allegedly topped €10m. Last year, Websupport’s sales were up 17% to €4.9m. Truban sold it to concentrate on politics; he is among the founders of the new Progresívne Slovensko party. This is one of the reasons he turned down a bid by a “Slovak financial shark” that was several millions higher. Truban (50%) and two co-owners, Pavel Stano and Ivan Štefunko, will invest part of the purchase price in Axcel’s shares, getting up to a 2% stake.
