U.S. Steel Košice improved its profit and revenues in 2018

U.S. Steel Košice improved its EBITDA profit 10% last year, to $359m. Its production volume was down slightly to 5m tons of steel, but thanks to higher output prices its revenues were up 8.5% to $3.228bn. The steel mill pointed out it faces significant market pressures and will reduce its output in the first quarter of this year. It expects higher input prices and a negative impact of the €:$ exchange rate.
