SNS is depriving Slovakia of €300m in EU funds
Incompetent Education Minister Martina Lubyová (SNS) is depriving Slovakia of €300m in EU funds, according to the opposition party OĽaNO. The Ministry has still not canceled contracts with dubious firms on research subsidies totaling €166m. In 2017-18, the ministry will lose €130m in EU funds it is unable to draw. Lubyová responded that no money has been paid to the dubious firms (although the firms might claim the money, since they have valid contracts) and the value of lost EU funds will be determined later. The €130m is for contracts signed during the previous government in 2015.
