Public institutions should avoid Huawei products
Chinese firm Huawei is the leader in smartphone sales in Slovakia (it is the No.2 globally, behind Samsung), but the public administration is to avoid its products. The intelligence service SIS recommended the Interior Ministry and the Office of the President not use Huawei products for security reasons. The Czech intelligence service BIS also warns against their use, but they are commonly used in the public administration and nuclear power plants there. USA, Japan, Austria, and New Zealand banned their use in building telecom infrastructure. They fear the Huawei technology has backdoors sending information to the Chinese government and allowing remote control.
