Courts to find out who siphons funds out of BVS

The Žilina District Court ordered Juraj Bugala (deputy head of the public procurement authority ÚVO) and Peter Ďurček (Deputy Transport Minister) to publish all data about a €17m loan they used to acquire a 49% stake in Infra Services. The company provides services to the Bratislava water utility BVS, and its invoices account for 64% of BVS costs. Based on legislation requiring the disclosure of real owners of all companies dealing with public sources, the court is trying to find out whether Bugala and Ďurček are the real owners, or just fronts for oligarch Ivan Kmotrík. If the court finds that they are not the real owners, the contract between Infra Services and BVS will be annulled and Infra Services will no longer be able to siphon funds out of BVS.
