VW might build a new plant in Košice

The Volkswagen’ Supervisory Board decided that German plants in Emden, Hannover and Zwickau will produce electric cars. The first VW electric cars were made in Bratislava, but German labor unions are insisting on German plants being in charge of electric vehicles key to VW’s future. VW is also considering building a new car plant. German media say Bulgaria and Turkey are the top contenders, and Slovak media say Košice is in the running too.
