Mass protests weaken the position of Fico and Kaliňák
Head of the police anti-corruption unit Naka, Peter Hraško, lied to me about the investigation into the organizers of the Decency in Slovakia protests, said Police Chief Milan Lučanský. Naka interrogated the protest organizers based on anonymous charges. Lučanský says he will adopt “measures”; it is possible he will dismiss Hraško, who has links to oligarch Miroslav Bödör and ex-minister Robert Kaliňák. Lučanský has already removed Hraško from the team investigating the murder of reporter Ján Kuciak.
Almost 20,000 people took part in the Decency in Slovakia protests in Bratislava and other cities on Friday. Their most common demand was the exit of Andrej Danko, Robert Fico and Robert Kaliňák from politics.
