O2 still uses national roaming
Mobile phone operator O2 had planned to stop using national roaming (usage of 2G networks of Telekom and Orange) at the end of this year. It has abandoned the plan and explains that the national roaming is no longer a replacement of its own network, but rather a way to effectively share networks. The use of national roaming is falling, and will fall further next year. Its own 2G network coverage increased from 95.7% of the population in 2015 to the current 99%.
