ZF is adding new plants in Slovakia
German automotive supplier ZF opened new €12.5m plant in Šahy. Some 100 workers will make welded pipes for car exhausts for the nearby ZF plant in Levice. By the end of 2021 the plant plans to have created 400 new jobs. ZF also has a third plant in Slovakia, in Trnava. The three plants employ 3,300 and last year, they improved their net profit 19% to €12.0m and their sales rose 11% to €471.1m. Next year, ZF plans to open yet another plant for the production of chassis parts in Detva, creating 100 new jobs. Another plant in Komárno will produce transmission parts.
