The Interior Ministry launched two huge IT hardware tenders totaling €295m and €197m, respectively. It wants to sign 4-year framework agreements with up to ten companies that will bid for individual contracts in electronic auctions. The tenders are for network components, security solutions, a call and video conference center, and servers. The Ministry explains it had to merge the supply of unrelated components into just two tenders, because the components need to work together. Interestingly, the components will be supplied by different firms, anyway.
