Slovakia offered BMW a €166m investment stimulus

Slovakia offered the German car maker BMW a €166m investment stimulus, says Vojtech Ferencz, Deputy Economy Minister. Since Hungary offered location in less developed region, it could offer a higher stimulus under EU rules, and BMW placed its new plant in Debrecen. BMW shortlisted these two locations.

The government is now trying to get other investors to settle in the industrial park near Košice. Ferencz would not disclose their names.
