KraussMaffei expands in Martin
German maker of injection molding machinery KraussMaffei plans to add a third production hall in its plant in Sučany near Martin. The plant’s area will expand by 7,000 to 23,000 sqm. The €7.5m investment will increase workforce by 330 to 1,000. Last year, the plant made 637 presses and 3,500 switchgears, and the new investment will increase its annual capacity to 2,000 presses and 6,000 switchgears. Last year, the plant reported a €0.9m net profit and its sales rose 11% to €89.6m.
