Slovakia slipped four places in World Competitiveness Yearbook
Slovakia slipped four places to 55th among 63 countries in this year’s World Competitiveness Yearbook by the Swiss Institute for Management Development. The drop came on the back of labor shortages, high administrative burden on companies, high costs associated with hiring and firing employees, and lack of reforms in education and public services. Back in 2007-09 Slovakia ranked 30th.
