Strabag halted work on Mochovce nuclear power plant
Strabag, the key civil engineering subcontractor in the €5.4bn completion of the Mochovce nuclear power plant, halted its work last week as Enel of Italy has been withholding €6m in payments since November 2017, say sources of the Trend weekly. Further delays loom. “This is purely a business dispute with Strabag that stems from opposing interpretations of certain contractual obligations,” explained Slovenské elektrárne, in which Enel holds a 33% stake. Strabag’s contract totals about €160m.
