Microsoft terminated its partnership with BSP Softwaredistribution
Several weeks ago, Microsoft terminated its partnership with BSP Softwaredistribution, which has been exclusively providing the Slovak government with Windows and Office licenses for 15 years. It gave “change in local partners’ network” as a reason. In 2016-18 the state is paying €55.8m for the licenses for 87,000 computers. The Value for Money analysis concluded that the state is paying €7m more annually than it should. It remains to be seen how the state will purchase the licenses in the future.
