Aegon is leaving the Slovak market
Dutch insurer Aegon is selling its Slovak and Czech subsidiaries. It has hired BNP Paribas as an advisor and will contact potential suitors shortly. Aegon declined to comment. It is present in over 20 countries and is among the world’s largest insurance, pension, and asset management firms. With €48.7m premiums in 2017, it ranked 8th on the Slovak life insurance market. In 2012-17 it posted a net profit of €10.9m.
