By 2023, Slovakia expected to become richer than Italy
By 2023, Slovakia and the Czech Republic are expected to become richer than Italy, according to IMF predictions using GDP per capita based on purchasing power parity. Italy’s economy is still only marginally larger than it was in 2000, while other leading EU economies have expanded by 25% or more. By the same measure, Spaniards became richer than Italians in 2017.
