New package of social measures targets pensioners
The new package of social measures the government will present in the coming weeks will include measures totaling €500-600m, according to sources of the N daily. Smer is going to invest into pensioners – it will propose a €220 special pension (total costs of €220m), exempt pensioners from drug co-payments, offer them discounts on food, and propose free transportation on buses. Another measure is increasing the allowance to those taking care of their sick family members to the minimum wage level.
