Jozef Brhel and Ján Miškovský left IT sector
Well-connected businessmen Jozef Brhel and Ján Miškovský have left the IT sector to focus on energy and foreign markets. They reckon the IT sector is highly cyclical and state-dependent. They sold IT firm Sevitech to its managers a year ago, and are selling their company DWC Slovakia. Brhel still owns energy and real estate firms, and plans to expand abroad. Miškovský has built nine wind power plants in Finland, and plans another 17.
Another oligarch, Juraj Široký, has also left the IT sector, by selling Bit-studio. The new owners (Milan Cílek, Martin Šamaj and Marko Nemcsics) have renamed the firm to Ensentia.
