Eset, Slovakia’s largest IT firm, and Accenture, one of the largest consulting firms, have left ITAS, the association of IT firms, and joined Slovensko.Digital, an association of independent IT experts. ITAS comprises many IT firms that live off large state IT contracts, which Slovensko.Digital has been criticizing. No one is willing to comment on the rifts in the IT community openly. Both companies have made it their policy to ignore state contracts. ITAS admits problems in state IT projects, but sees the dearth of projects in the past two years as a much bigger issue.
