U.S.-based dairy firm Schreiber invests in Zvolen
U.S.-based dairy firm Schreiber plans to resume the production of powdered milk in Zvolen. It acquired local dairy firm Mliekoservis from French group Senoble three years ago and has been expanding the production of yogurts and ice cream (Zvolenský brand) since. The Zvolen plant bought the powdered milk technology 20 years ago, but has rarely used it. The new production program will add 10 workers to the current staff of 140. In 2016, the company reduced loss by 2% to €1.5m and its sales rose 6% to €39.0m.
