Changes on the meal voucher market

Edenred, which offers meal vouchers, acquired its smaller competitor Vaša Slovensko for an undisclosed sum at the end of 2017. This has shrunk the number of players on the market from five to four. The new entity will be a market leader—in 2016, the combined sales of the two firms came to €15m, while the sales of the then leader Le Cheque Dejeuner were €12.8m. As of January 1, Le Cheque Dejeuner changed its name to Up Slovensko. The other two players are Doxx and Sodexo Pass.

All five companies were fined €3m last year by the anti-trust authority PMÚ for forming a cartel.
