Penta’s largest acquisition

Penta will sign a contract to purchase the largest Romanian pharmacy chain, A&D Pharma, by the end of this year, according to Romanian media. This would be Penta’s largest acquisition, with an estimated value of €350m. Penta owns the Central European pharmacy chain Dr. Max, with 1,300 outlets. The acquisition will add another 600 pharmacies with annual sales over €1bn in Romania. Penta wants to expand Dr. Max in Italy and the Baltic countries too.
