New prison as a PPP project

The Justice Ministry proposed carrying out the €58m renovation and expansion of the Rimavská Sobota prison via a public-private partnership scheme. A private partner would expand the prison and maintain it for 20 years, and the state would pay €10-12m annually. The Ministry has already contacted potential private partners that showed interest in the scheme.
