The Žilina car plant of Kia posted a 22% annual drop in output to 268,200 vehicles, and its engine production was down 37% to 275,000 in 2020. The drop stems from the pandemic, which has reduced new car sales in Europe by 24%. Its Sportage SUV model accounted for 54% of the output and ceed accounted for the rest. Hybrid models accounted for 20%. Its largest export markets were the UK, Germany, and Russia.
