ŠÚ real estate price data are less reliable than NBS data
Real estate price data of the statistics office ŠÚ are less reliable than the central bank NBS data, N daily sources say. ŠÚ receives data from the real estate cadaster and the NBS monitors ad prices. The cadaster does not record important details, such as the number of rooms, or the type of housing. NBS has been pushing for the improvement of cadaster price records for some time, to no avail. The differences in the data are huge―NBS put the annual real estate price growth in the second quarter at 25.5%, while ŠÚ puts it at 16.6%.
