Ľudovít Ódor government approved its manifesto
The Ľudovít Ódor government approved its manifesto, with tasks for the coming 5-6 months. Assistance to households with high energy or food prices is to be targeted. It wants to fight disinformation and continue military aid to Ukraine. It will prepare a list of potential measures to improve public finances, including cuts in taxes on labor and increasing taxation on consumption, property, and negative externalities. It aims to prepare a DRG system for hospital payments for introduction from January 2024. It will try to accelerate the absorption of EU funds.
Parliament is unlikely to approve the manifesto and the cabinet will continue with slightly reduced powers, under the control of President Zuzana Čaputová.
