ÚVO tries to speed up public tenders
ÚVO, the public procurement authority, has changed its policy of issuing injunctions to speed up public tenders. The interim measures will no longer stop the whole tender, but only the part that is being appealed. ÚVO is also trying to streamline the appeals process. A revision to the Public Procurement Act, to take effect March 31, will also limit the scope for appeals. Slovakia is one of the three countries in the EU with the longest public procurement, together with Italy and Greece.
