Slovak shared service centers are set to withstand the current crisis
Globally, shared service centers have lost 15-20% of their business last year due to the pandemic-induced recession, reckons Peter Rusiňák from the US Chamber of Commerce. The Slovak centers of AT&T and Johnson Controls have already announced redundancies, and IBM aims to cut 10,000 jobs in Europe. Rusiňák thinks the competition of cheaper Asian countries and Slovakia’s economic policies have a very limited impact on the Slovak layoffs. IT sector is facing the biggest headwin
Slovenské centrá zdieľaných služieb by mali súčasnú krízu vydržať.
Centrá zdieľaných služieb na globálnej úrovni vlani pre pandémiu a recesiu stratili 15-20% zákaziek, tvrdí Peter Rusiňák z Americkej obchodnej komory. Na Slovensku už oznámili prepúšťanie AT&T a Johnson Controls, plus IBM chce v Európe prepustiť 10.000 ľudí. Konkurencia lacnejších krajín v Ázii a ekonomická politika slovenskej vlády majú podľa Rusiňáka na prepúšťanie na Slovensku minimálny vplyv. Najväčší problém má IT sektor, keďže mnohé firmy prestali investovať. Prepustení

MF hovorí o pomoci firmám. (hnonline.sk)
Retailers attack local tomato producers
Local producers of cherry tomatoes protest that large retailers are aiming to replace their produce by selling imports under their own private brands. The three key players GreenCoop, Ovozela, and Babindol had €50m sales in 2019 and they have invested dozens of millions into greenhouses, technologies, and their brands. Retailers, though, only care about the lowest price for customers, and thanks to the recent boom in tomato growing in Slovakia, they are able to choose between
