Ministerstvo hospodárstva posiela automobilke Jaguar Land Rover 65,4 mil. €, čo je prvá polovica investičnej pomoci na výstavbu závodu v Nitre. Výmenou za stimul 129,8 mil. € automobilka sľúbila investovať 1,4 mld € do závodu s kapacitou 150.000 áut ročne a vytvoriť 2.800 pracovných miest. The Kysucké Nové Mesto plant of Germany’s Schaeffler will develop drive modules for hybrids and electric vehicles. The German company employs almost 10,000 in its two Slovak plants (the other in Skalica) in the production of bearings. Within three years, it will create 200 new jobs in electromobility. Tax revenues will be €251m lower compared to state budget
The tax revenues will be €251m lower this year compared to the approved state budget, according to the updated Finance Ministry’s tax prognosis. Next year, they will be €1bn lower, but still will grow 4% annually. Last year, the tax revenues were €900m higher than planned (by €700m higher in 2017) which allowed the government to approve ’social’ measures. The lower tax intake comes on the back of economic slowdown in Western Europe that curbs the Slovak economic growth, too.

Prima banka, owned by Penta, is the first bank in the CEE region to issue collateralized bonds with a negative yield. Its 7-year issue totaling €500m has a yield of -0.096%. Scandinavian banks sold bonds with a negative issue this summer. The issue was managed by Commerzbank, DZ BANK and LBBW.
