Medusa Group feeds VW workers and faces tax evasion charges
The Bratislava plant of Volkswagen has recently extended its contract with local catering Medusa Group (Peter Štecko) for another five years. Medusa Group runs canteens at the plant, and has 400 workers there. Last year, it won a similar contract for the Amazon logistics center in Sereď and is in talks with several other large industrial plants. Last year, Medusa Group broke even on record sales of €17m. Tatry Mountain Resorts is launching cooperation with Mölltaler Gletscher
Tatry Mountain Resorts (Igor Rattaj), which owns ski resorts in Slovakia, Czechia, and Poland, is launching a cooperation with Austrian ski resort Mölltaler Gletscher. It will sell its own Gopass ski pass along with the ski pass of the Austrian resort that already has a large Slovak and Czech clientele. It will fund the expansion to the Alps with a bond issue, which will also partly refinance existing debts. (openiazoch.sk)

Spoločnosť Tatry Mountain Resorts (Igor Rattaj), ktorá vlastní lyžiarske strediská na Slovensku, v Česku a Poľsku, začína spoluprácu s lyžiarskym strediskom Mölltaler Gletscher. Spolu so svojim skipasom Gopass bude predávať aj skipasy tohto strediska, ktoré má už teraz početnú slovenskú a českú klientelu. Medusa Group varí pre VW a čelí obvineniu z daňových únikov
Bratislavský závod Volkswagenu nedávno obnovil 5-ročný kontrakt so skupinou Medusa Group (Peter Štecko) na prevádzku závodných kantín. Medusa Group tam má 400 zamestnancov. Vlani firma získala podobný kontrakt s logistickým centrom Amazon v Seredi a rokuje s ďalšími veľkými firmami. Medusa Group vlani vykázala nulový zisk pri rekordných tržbách 17 mil. €. IT firm Resco expands
Software firm Resco posted a 7% drop in net profit to €1.6m in 2017, but its sales went up 19% to €6.2m. It employs 70 and distributes a quarter of its profit in bonuses. It develops CRM solutions and has Microsoft, IBM, and Heineken among its clients. It is offering its solutions to cities, allowing inhabitants to report broken lamps or full trash cans. The state wants to lease the Bratislava airport
The Transport Ministry sent for comments a proposal to select a strategic partner for the state-owned M.R. Štefánik airport in Bratislava. It wants to sign a long-term lease agreement in 2021, with the partner overseeing the airport’s long-term development. The partner is to assume the airport’s debts, totaling €54m, and pay €1.3m annually to the state. The airport needs about €200m in further investment. Softvérová firma Resco vlani zaznamenala 7% pokles čistého zisku na 1,6 mil. € a tržby narástli o 19% na 6,2 mil. €. Má 70 zamestnancov a každý rok dá na odmeny 25% zisku. Vyvíja CRM riešenia a medzi zákazníkmi sú aj firmy ako Microsoft, IBM, či Heineken. Svoj softvér na správu vzťahov s klientmi ponúka aj mestám, ktoré ním umožňujú obyvateľom nahlasovať cez mobil pokazené lampy či plné smetné koše. Štát chce prenajať letisko
Ministerstvo dopravy dalo na pripomienky návrh na výber koncesionára pre štátne letisko M.R. Štefánika v Bratislave. Chce letisko dlhodobo prenajať od roku 2021 s tým, že koncesionár zabezpečí jeho rozvoj. Mal by prevziať úvery letiska vo výške 54 mil. € a platiť štátu 1,3 mil. € ročne. Letisko potrebuje ďalšie investície vo výške 200 mil. €. Keďže SNS s prenájmom letiska nesúhlasí, o ďalšom postupe má rozhodnúť až budúca vláda. (etrend.sk)
Jaguar Land Rover launched production in its new €1.4bn plant in Nitra
British car maker Jaguar Land Rover launched production in its new €1.4bn plant in Nitra on Thursday. The plant employs 1,500 workers, of whom 98% are from Slovakia. Marek Maďarič, former Smer deputy leader and the closest ally of Robert Fico, is leaving the party and will no longer vote with the ruling coalition in parliament.
